This doesn't always give a complete picture, since not all addon authors post their most recent versions to that repository, and even some addons with alpha/beta files for the desired version don't show up properly. Repositories such as Curseforge will often have a way to sort by game version when looking at addons. These may not be entirely stable, but at least are designed to work in the intended environment. Addon managers download Release versions by default, unless you've set the manager to do something different.Īlpha and Beta versions are where an addon writer presents upgrades, new features, or new versions for upcoming patches or releases, so these can be tested in PTR/beta environments.
